Rocket City Marathon
The Rocket City Marathon has been a fixture in North Alabama for over 45 years. Enjoy a scenic, Boston qualifying course that runs through parts of historic Huntsville, through the Space & Rocket Center, through the Botanical Gardens, and finishes inside the Von Braun Center.
Half the Rocket City Marathon(s)
We now have two half-marathons that run concurrently with the full marathon.
Front-half: Start with the marathoners and run the first 13.1 miles of the course finishing at Campus 805.
Back-half: Start at UAH and run the final stretch of the marathon through the Space & Rocket Center, Botanical Gardens, and finish inside the VBC.
Rocket City Kid’s Marathon
K-8th graders may become "marathoners" by logging 25.2 miles leading up to a final mile on race day that crosses the real finish line. Registration opens August 1.
