Things to do … places to go
The Huntsville Convention & Visitors Bureau provides everything you could possibly want or need to know about Huntsville, but we thought we’d highlight a few of the special places and events that have been meaningful to us. Huntsville is a beautiful city with interesting sites, shops, and events. Make your trip more than just a marathon (or half), visit space or a re-purposed mill or go skating or walk past hundreds of Christmas trees, but most of all enjoy your visit.
The high-tech city of Huntsville, which sprawls at the foot of a mountain in North Alabama, is equally at home in the 19th century or the 21st. Huntsville's tourist attractions reflect the heritage of Alabama's first English-speaking city, the strife of the American Civil War and the accomplishments of America's rocket scientists.
