Marathon Relay

Leg 5 & Reunion Area(VBC)

(Interactive Map)

Leg 5 - 5.4 miles

The final leg of the 2022 RCM Relay experiences the greatest elevation drop as it makes the most direct route possible (almost) back to the VBC and the finish line. It races past Gold Sprint Coffee, Lowe Mill, and at mile 25 the runner will be able to see … across the way … the finish line before winding through beautiful Big Spring Park and the tunnel to reach the end.

Navigation & Parking

The following recommended route (repeated from Leg 4) may help you navigate between the VBC and Exchange Zone 4.

Route between Exchange Zone 4 and the VBC

After the start of the half-marathon at 9:00 am, this route should only encounter runners at the intersection of Bob Wallace Ave and Biscayne/11th St. Please see details below regarding where to go when returning to the VBC.

Reunion Area

All members of the relay team may cross the finish line together. To facilitate this, we ask that team members waiting for the final leg to reach the finish line follow the red path from the South Hall entrance to the left and then back behind the South Hall. There is an access hallway where relay members may wait (circled below) for the final leg. When the final leg reaches the entrance to the South Hall, please wait for a gap in runners and then all members of the team may run through the finish together. Please do your best not to impede marathoners or half-marathoners.
